Joe Albright

"As a photographer I see the art in all things. When I shoot I do not over think the process. I am guided by an emotional compass that points me in the right direction. It keeps me connected to the action, immersed in sunshine, and grounded to me purpose. I am intrigued, compelled and captivated by physical shapes and form as well as the shape and form that emotion takes."

When I work with a camera I feel like it is a part of my body, an extension of my hand. I feel connected, exhilarated and purposeful. I perceive my surroundings as a spontaneous, witty observer. When my work is going well time is a blur and I seem to just know where to focus next. I feel charmed. I experience a quickening; everyone is accelerating around me. Although I am constant, I am always in the right place and time. When people see my work I hope to invoke intrigue, captivation and a stirring deep inside. I'd like them to stop their normal routine and ponder the image, try to answer the questions it may pose and maybe change their perspective.”
